Exclusive: SA Government Confirms Sale Of Arms To Libya | 2oceansvibe.com
Here is our chance to do something.
Watch this space, thats all I am saying. I feel like an adventure.
The situation in Libya
Hey I've been following the situation in Libya and think everybody should be aware of whats going on so I threw together a little infographic to outline what is happening.
I've included links after the jump that you have to see. Included is an interview with a citizen of Benghazi who describes the situation as genocide, the army has begun moving through the streets killing citizens at random. Hospitals are filled with dead bodies and the interviewee literally cries for the world's help.
Below is a really useful link that summarizes all the protest action happening in the above countries.
Region in turmoil - Spotlight - Al Jazeera English
Interview with Benghazi Citizen describing the "massacre" of protestors.
Aljazeera, currently the only news organization in the world giving this situation the focus it deserves has a live blog continually updated with news from the region. If you want to know what is happening minute by minute this is the only place to go. The link can be found below.
Live Blog - Libya Feb 24 | Al Jazeera Blogs
A lot of people have told me they are not interested because they don't know anything about the situation. We living in a new age of complete access that has never been experienced in the history of the world. Inform yourself because I can promise now this is going to affect you down the line some way or the other.

Candice is in hospital
She was taken to casualty last night because of a kidney infection but she is back to her perky self. Feel better fish face.
It is moments like these that make this school awesome.
Nothing makes me happier than making smoothies with Dez while Busi watches and Andrew is dressed as a mime. Seriously when does shit like this happen anyplace else? HA HA HA HAHABHAHBdhjbnjmf nm
Jia Jia when he fell in love
I have to explain what is going on here for a second. Jia Jia needed to wash a wire Christmas tree for a function at the end of last year. Instead it became one of the most romantic scenes I have ever witnessed. Jia Jia gently caressed the dust away while gently spraying the tree with a soft trickle of hose water, In that moment I learnt what love is and it gives me hope that there is an inanimate object out there for each one of us.

The super computer that is going to take over the world and his name is Watson.
Ha ha ha, holy guacamole, this is about the most insane thing I've seen in my life. IBM have created a super computer that responds to questions asked by people using only their voices. No keyboards or spreadsheets or search boxes. You just ask it a question and it gives you an answer. This is exactly the situation depicted in movies where the captain of a spaceship is all "Computer, what is my wife up too?" and the computer responds "some guy named Carl."
To prove how amazing this new technology is they stuck "Watson" on the American game show Jeopardy where it completely obliterated the competition. The scariest part is the man on the left of Watson is the most successful player in the history of the show and Watson makes him look like a doos.
The future is here and it's kinda of creeping me the fuck out.
Flambe - Instructional Video
Here is a short instructional video on how to make Crepe Suzette, first years take notice it is in your practicals at the end of the year. Plus being able to flambe is just heroic.
Happy Belated Valentines Day Guys!

I just wanna sort something out quick.
Afternoon everybody.
I just need to get something off my chest. It's quite a mouthful so I've put it after the jump. Thanks for all the support guys I feel so much better and it's mostly because of you! :)
Sorry to my team for not being at college today and not emailing the Martin but it wasn't on purpose I did email him just had the wrong address.
There are currently people in the class that seem to have a massive problem with me and I have absolutely no idea why. I don't recall ever doing anything to anybody that would make them feel like this and if I have and am just being an asshole I am really sorry. It would be great though if you actually spoke to me about it instead of seething quietly because believe it or not I just wanna be friends.
Not only do i wanna be friends but I honestly view the class as my extended family and I would go to the ends of the earth for anyone of you. Even if we angry at eachother because in a family even if you are angry it shouldn't affect the relationship. I get angry at people i love all the time, just ask Tim, but the underlying knowledge that underpins my relationships is that we going to know each other for an extremely long time and fighting is just a normal part of a healthy relationship.
What upsets me though is that I don't feel this in return and that is okay. Nobody owes me anything and I don't expect them too but I know I have to prove that I am worth your time, trust and love. I can't do that if you don't let me know what is going on and let me explain things from my perspective.
The entire reason I am fighting so hard for the SRC and South African Hospitality Students Society is because I want there to be a way that we can not only remain a part of each others lives in the future but help each other out and ultimately help ourselves in the process. If I have upset people by doing this then tell me to back down and I will stop being in so many faces all the time. I doubt though that there is anybody that wants this as badly as I do but if you would like a position on the SRC or feel you can do a better job than me then there are ways and means of letting the SRC know.
The SRC doe not belong to anybody or anything, it is designed for us as students to start functioning as an independant arm of the school, raising our own funds, hosting our own events and becoming closer as a group. I have a confession to make in that I did create a position for myself while I was writing the constitution and this was wrong. As a result it is only fair that at the first General Assembly we have a fair election where anybody that feels up for the job may become a candidate.
Lastly I want people to think if what they are doing is causing rifts in the class or breaking the class up. Everything I have done so far is to get the class closer and have as working together better. If you are going against this and causing problems within the class simply for your own sake then ask yourself if what you are doing makes sense.
Sorry for venting but I am having a rough day and I just needed to tell you that I love you guys. All of you.
Cheers
Justin

Conscious man 'in coma' for 23 years
Conscious man 'in coma' for 23 years - Telegraph
Count your blessings people, this is possibly the worst existence I could imagine. Next time you stuck in traffic think about being stuck in traffic for 23 years. It also raises the question that if you were ever in a coma would you like to be kept alive for 23 years. If I ever end up in a similar situation somebody smother me with a pillow.
